Fun Night at our Fall Festival
The DECA and SGA Students from Brookwood High School sponsored the first annual Spook Away Cancer event. We had a hay ride, face painting, pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating, moon walks and many more fun exciting things for kids to enjoy. We had 21 vendors set up selling different products and the local children came dressed in their Halloween costumes and visited each booth for sweet treats. After trick-or-treating, the kids settled down to our movie on the court - Despicable Me.
We also had a feature wall, shown below where we were able to share the stories of some of the children we are working with. It was great to bring awareness to our foundation and how cancer affects so many families in different ways.
It was a great night and everyone had a wonderful time. All proceeds for the night went to our foundation.
A special thanks to Cindy Bassel for organizing this event and all the kids that came out and worked so hard to make this event a success. Also want to thank Chick-Fil-A on Scenic Hwy for donating our raffle prize of 52 FREE Chick-Fil-A Sandwiches!!
