Meet Lupita.  She is a 21 year old young lady that has been battling cancer since May 2015.  She was diagnosed with a very rare peripheral nerve sheath tumor in her right thigh.  She did not respond well to chemo so in December she had surgery to remove the tumor in order to save her life. Unfortunately that also meant amputating her leg. As one can imagine, this has been very traumatic for her which is why she was elected to be a recipient of a SMILE.

When we asked Lupita what she would like to spend her $1000 on she immediately said a shopping spree so that is what we gave her.  We are very blessed to have a partnership with Hennessy Transportation and they provided a decked out SUV to transport her to and from the mall.  Upon arrival, she shopped and shopped and shopped and got lots of great new clothes, make-up and other items.  She even took time to visit with the Easter Bunny.  We then went to her restaurant of choice - Longhorns, where she was treated like a princess.
